Do small things:

Biggest physical risks can be overcome by doing small things from time to time. Overlooking these small things is often the biggest risk. Physical risks the Center for Disease Control and Prevention has declared for college students are lack of sleep, substance abuse, and managing stress. Make these areas priorities of your life. Do not indulge yourself in unnecessary activities. You never know where you end up. You are a college student and there is whole life ahead of you. Avoiding little things can lead to long illness. That can have severe effects in present as well as in future.

Maintain cleanliness of your body:

Main hygiene starts from your body. Keep a hand wash, face wash, flosses, sunscreen, and wet tissues in your bag when you are in college. Make sure you eat healthy when you are in the cafeteria. Wash your hands before and after eating. Do not forget to floss.

Shower properly before leaving:

A quick shower is near to no shower at all. Give yourself some time when you are in the shower. Standing for a few minutes under running water doesn’t make you clean. Some folks are in hurry and they don’t care if they have washed off the soap from skin properly. People don’t realize but it can be harmful. It can be one of the reasons to ‘Balanitis’.

The term might be new to you. It is a painful condition where the top of your penis gets swollen. There are many reasons for this condition. Sometimes the skin gets a bacterial or fungal infection that leads to balanitis. The main causes include candida albicans, bacterial infection, sexually transmitted diseases, skin diseases (eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis or lichen planus), allergies, and a tight foreskin.

These are the main reasons but poor hygiene makes the condition worse and more fatal. Because irritation and inflammation is the aftermath of poor hygiene. This is the reason we are putting the emphasis on a proper shower. Avoid using scented lotions or soaps on your private parts. Do not use the products that cause extreme dryness. Properly rinse off the soap for your penis.

Balanitis treatment is easy. Some home remedies can do the trick. Include garlic made dishes in your diet. Garlic has some amazing antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties and it can treat balanitis well. Tea tree oil is also one of the best remedies. A mixture of tea tree oil and virgin coconut oil has an amazing effect if you apply it on the affected area. Moreover, calendula, Cayenne Pepper, Apple Cider Vinegar, natural yogurt, and Aloe Vera are effective.

Get proper sleep:

Most students stay up late. Sleep is not something optional. Yes, you have a lot of things to do but prioritize you sleep over them. You cannot do any other thing when you are not healthy. Better make proper time for your sleep.
